While graduation season often shines a spotlight on high school seniors, some of Buncombe County Schools’ youngest learners recently celebrated a major milestone of their own.

Students in the Buncombe County Schools Learning Labs Pre-K program at North Buncombe High School, A.C. Reynolds High School, T.C. Roberson High School, and Clyde A. Erwin High School proudly crossed the stage during graduation ceremonies held last week.

The celebrations marked the end of an exciting year filled with learning, growth, friendships, and discovery. Family members, teachers, and staff gathered to applaud the young graduates as they received their certificates and prepared for their next big adventure - kindergarten.

Throughout the school year, students developed important skills that will help them succeed in elementary school. From learning letters and numbers to building confidence and independence, the Learning Labs provided a strong foundation for future success.

The Learning Labs are unique programs that not only serve preschool-aged children but also provide hands-on learning opportunities for high school students interested in education and child development.

As these young graduates turn the page to a new chapter, BCS celebrates their accomplishments and looks forward to seeing all their achievements in the years ahead.

A special thank you goes to the dedicated Learning Labs teachers and staff whose guidance, patience, and encouragement led these students to this important milestone. Their commitment has made a lasting impact on the lives of these young learners and their families.
