In just over three weeks, the North Buncombe High School (NBHS) Learning Labs preschool proved that even the smallest hearts can make a big difference. The young learners raised more than $1,400 for the American Heart Association, showing incredible generosity and enthusiasm while learning about the importance of heart health.
To celebrate their achievement, the preschoolers gathered in the school’s gym for a St. Patrick’s Day-themed obstacle course filled with movement, laughter, and fun.

Each station was thoughtfully designed by NBHS freshmen P.E. students, who created activities that encouraged the preschoolers to stay active while having fun. From jumping and crawling to balancing and racing through the course, the gym quickly filled with cheers and smiles as the children worked their way through the festive challenges.
The event not only celebrated the funds raised but also highlighted the power of teamwork and healthy habits. With the help of the high school students, the preschoolers learned that staying active is an important way to keep their hearts strong.

Together, the students showed that when a community comes together - even the youngest members can make a big impact.
