Cane Creek Middle School students had a chance to celebrate the holiday as a school family before the holiday break, at the CCMS Fall Dance. In addition to music and dancing, the event featured activities including VIP stage seating, light up bracelets, a snack station, a photobooth.
“Students had to grow up in certain areas of their life rather quickly after the hurricane, said 6th grade teacher Jennifer Tatum. “It was nice to watch the almost childlike excitement for this dance.”
Students enjoyed showing off their middle school moves on the dance floor, and having time together.
“School is more than getting good grades,” shared 7th grader Khi Peninger. “This is one of the things at Cane Creek where you can actually be yourself and be around your friends.”
