Course Overview - American History II
American
History II is a survey of United States history from the period of
western expansion immediately following the Civil War to the modern era.
Students in this course will investigate a variety of important topics
and events in American History including: the Gilded Age,
Industrialization, Imperialism, World War I, the Great Depression and
New Deal, World War II, and the Cold War just to name a few.
Students
will participate in a number of learning activities including group
projects and field trips as well as classwork and homework assignments
designed to provide students with a base of knowledge from which they
can view events in American History and today with a critical eye.
