AP European History Overview

The goal of this class is to investigate significant events, individuals, developments, and processes in four historical periods from approximately 1450 to the present. We will develop and use the same skills, practices, and methods employed by historians: analyzing primary and secondary sources; developing historical arguments; making historical comparisons; and utilizing reasoning about contextualization, causation, and continuity and change over time. Throughout this year, you will be required to meet the demands that I hope to be equivalent to college level classes. We will certainly work hard but I intend to make it as enjoyable as possible.
