¡Saludos!

I am looking forward to another group of fresh minds to take a journey with me through the world of foreign language learning! This is my seventeenth year teaching at North Buncombe High; however, it is my twenty-fifth year teaching. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business from Furman University; however, knowing that I wanted to teach since the age of 5, I continued my education at Winthrop University where I earned a degree in Education. A year later, I received my Advanced Placement Certification in Spanish from Clemson University. I have since studied in Mexico and Spain, as well.

I have a wonderful husband, Chris, and five amazing children. We also have two dogs that make our family complete. They keep my life interesting and entertaining, not to mention busy!

I love teaching Spanish, and I am eager to share my passion for the language and the Hispanic culture with my students! Since Spanish has become the second language of our country, the relevance of learning a second language cannot be emphasized enough. In addition, Spanish will serve as an invaluable tool to students, regardless of the career they choose.
