Support Your Child's Learning!

I do not give a lot of homework in my English 2 class, but the best way for you to support your child's learning is by encouraging them to read in their SSR book for 20 minutes each night and providing them with a quiet place to do so. You can also sign up for the Remind Class to receive reminders and other important information.

About Me

Hi! I'm so glad you decided to visit my classroom webpage! I am very excited to get to know you all this semester!

I was born and raised in Candler, NC and graduated from Enka High School and Western Carolina University. I graduated with a degree in Secondary English Education in 2014 and taught the Spring 2015 semester in Shelby, NC, before moving back to my hometown and North Buncombe High School. I am so excited to be starting my fourth year here at NBHS.

I love living in the mountains of North Carolina and I make sure to enjoy the beautiful landscape we live in! I can often be found hiking, camping, and exploring the WNC mountains on the weekends. I also love to read and spend time with my friends and family.

I am also an adventure lover! I love to try new things like kayaking, skydiving, and ziplining. I am also an avid traveler and love learning about and visiting new places! I love sports, especially baseball and going to games is a ton of fun!

I am recently married (a lot of you might remember me as Ms. Lancaster!) as of April 2018! We have an adorable Coon Hound dog named Mojo.

I am very excited to be teaching here at North Buncombe High School and I look forward to a great year!
