Welcome to Room 515

I teach Academic Support classes to students in grades 9-12. This course is designed to teach skills needed to help students be successful in their academic courses. Some of the topics covered in this class are: organization; study habits; tips on how to study and retain information; study aids; responsibility; and working as a group member.

The Academic Support classes also has a component of transitioning from high school to post high school goals. These goals include further education through Technical Colleges, Community Colleges, 4 year Colleges and/or direct entry to the world of work.

Students are able to receive help completing homework, retesting, and remediation on concepts previously taught in the students other courses throughout the school day. Students in this class often receive extra time to complete assignments given in their other classes.

*Students must have an IEP to be able to take this course.
