REGISTRATION

Registration is an on-going process for new students. If you are planning on moving into the North Buncombe District, please call to set up an appointment for enrollment. 

Rising 9th grade registration will begin in late January/early February. Please be on the look out for letters and all calls regarding this process.

Students: Check the Governor's School Website for updates about auditions! The process ends in March...so they have a while to wait for acceptance. Some student are preparing for auditions in March. GOOD LUCK KIDDOS!!!

NINTH GRADE CLASSROOM GUIDANCE 

I have visited English classes and covered transcripts, graduation requirements and Learning Styles. 

The Seven Learning Styles

  • Visual (spatial):You prefer using pictures, images, and spatial understanding.
  • Aural (auditory-musical): You prefer using sound and music.
  • Verbal(linguistic): You prefer using words, both in speech and writing.
  • Physical (kinesthetic): You prefer using your body, hands and sense of touch.
  • Logical (mathematical): You prefer using logic, reasoning and systems.
  • Social (interpersonal): You prefer to learn in groups or with other people.
  • Solitary (intrapersonal): You prefer to work alone and use self-study.

SENIORS 

Seniors should be geared up for applying for college! Very exciting and rather scary, but we can help with any concerns or questions you may have. Come by to make sure your transcripts are being sent to the right school, if you need a recommendation, or want to research a career! We can help!
